CarAdvice’s spies have caught what they believe to be the upcoming Lamborghini Aventador SV undergoing high-speed testing around the Nurburgring.
Snapped in bright yellow lapping the famous German circuit, the potential Lamborghini Aventador SV is fitted with several more aggressive add-ons including centre-lock wheels fitted with ultra-low-profile tyres, an additional lower front air splitter and an extra aerodynamic foil positioned on top of the existing 515kW/690Nm supercar’s automatically adjustable rear spoiler.
The front brake calipers are also mounted in a slightly different position to those of the standard car, hinting at deeper underbody developments than the exterior reveals.
As with the entire Lamborghini Aventador range – the current Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster and the recently unveiled Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario – power is expected to come from the Italian manufacturer’s tried and tested naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12.
More details are expected ahead of this year’s Frankfurt motor show in September.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 first launched onto the world stage in 2011, joining the marque’s best-selling but now-ageing model, the Gallardo, which launched back in 2004.
