Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 reports for duty in Dubai

It appears the luckiest police force in the world is now in Dubai, with images of a fully-marked Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 police car hitting the web.

Apparently intended for 'patrols' in high tourist areas to show how classy Duabi is, the white and green 515kW/690Nm $761,500 Lamborghini Aventador is reportedly part of a wider police vehicle upgrade that is believed to include a fleet of Chevrolet Camaro muscle cars.

It has not been revealed yet if the 6.5-litre V12-powered supercar, capable of reaching 100km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 350km/h, was bought for the force or confiscated by the police and put into service. Either way, it makes us jealous of Dubai’s local constabulary.

Dubai isn’t the first place to see a raging bull marked in the colours of the law. The Italian police force was famously gifted two 388kW/508Nm 5.0-litre V10-powered Lamborghini Gallardos by the Sant'Agata-based car maker back in 2004 – one of which was destroyed in a collision five years later – before being replaced by the newer 412kW/539Nm 5.2-litre V10-powered Gallardo LP560-4 in 2008.
