2010 Nissan Qazana concept teaser
February 12, 2009 by George Skentzos
Nissan has released a rather quirky teaser of its upcoming Qazana crossover concept which is due to make its first public debut at the Geneva motor show.
While details are scarce with no official text released to accompany the teaser, current speculation suggests the Qazana will be a five-door model incorporating a ’suicide’ style arrangement.
The production model is slated to arrive by 2010, with manufacturing to take place on the Micra line to take advantage of the increased capacity when the Micra comes to an end later that year.
According to Trevor Mann, Nissan Senior Vice President for Manufacturing in Europe, the Qazana is the result of some tough decisions made at Nissan in the wake of tough economic times.
“The difficulties currently facing the car industry have been widely documented, and Nissan has not been immune. As a result we have had to make some difficult decisions, but the reason we have done so is to secure a long and positive future for the plant. Qazana points the way to that future and gives an indication of the unique and exciting car we will be producing in Sunderland next year.”
The Qazana is certainly one concept to look at for come motor show time given its fascinating teaser.

loads of variations came up googling images from soft toaders to spports things.
Somehow cannot see Nissan marketing a 5 door car in Euroland as they have never been truly successful in challenging the Mondeos, Vectras and Passats. Also their test track in the UK is stacked up with over produced vehicles currently. Dream On. Yeh I know it’s only a concept for future styling cues.
No Nissan, improve on the looks of the Micra. Not make worse, improve.
That thing looks weird. I don’t mind the current Micra, I hardly think it is best looking in class but at least it’s different. And it looks better than that.
