It’s rather poor form to use this as a anti(anyone) forum.

Many companies are supporting this cause, both directly and indirectly (eg via Salvos) without having the need to grab self serving headlines.

Well done to all of the volunteers and supporters, those who seek the headlines and those who do not.

One of my workmates lost her daughters house, and another workmate unfortunately has lost her inlaws at Kinglake.

Well done Mercedes Benz, it will help us thats for sure. I have been a volunteer firefighter for 30 years and live less than 30km’s from the KingLake fire complex and after spending 18 hours there so far with a days break before I head back up there I thank everyone all over the world who are sending their best wishes. My family have had calls from Thailand, Germany, U.S.A and the U.K expressing concerns and each one of them is going to be donating to the Appeal. In thes economic hardtimes its so heartwarming to see all the support we are getting. My toll so far is 3 close friends dead and quite a few family and friends who have lost the homes and livleyhood. Lets all dig together and help all those in need even if its just food and clothes. Those things are needed as well. We are Aussie, we are proud, we will survive and we will conquer but above all we all stick together.
