Lets just squash all rumours that Holden are not making a VE Ute.

Well done Alborz. Looks like the SS if the side vents are anything to go by.

  • Paul Maric

That side vent appears across the Holden range, even on the base model Omega.

  • steane

Good point…I’m losing it. It’s been a long day.

  • Lazybones

With the Hilux & Navara selling like hot cakes. It will be interesting to see how well the VE Ute Sells.

Is it me, or does the back sit higher than the current Ute?

  • 280ZX

Could be the new Ford Orion ? Haaaaa

  • steane

It does seem to sit high. Hopefully there is more room behind the seats, which it looks like there is, that has always been a pain in the current model Commodore ute.

I’ve always found the new ute models looks a bit awkward and take a while to get used to.

It will be interesting to see how they fit the ute body in with the edgy VE styling. I haven’t thought much of the CG images to-date, particularly around the tail-gate area.

      it looks stuped

  • Luke

it looks more like a ford with the split tub but if it is the VE holden ute i will not be getting one

  • Damo

True pov c*#ts at Holden indeed. Take another look at the photo and you will see that the ute is rolling on steelies!

  • vin

Looks ok from what we can see…i’m a VZ ute owner and I think that and the VU were the 2 best lookin utes made by holden. And yeh holden should of put 20″ on it LMAO!

  • VE FAN

BEST UTE SINCE HQ YOU ARE A DICK HEAD LUKE

  • Ward

Luke, i bet the line between the cab and the tray is only a stick on to fool people. its to far back!

  • ben

It’s alright Luke, you probably couldn’t afford one anyway. Anyone who can judge whether or not a car looks good or bad enough to decide for certain if they want one or not clearly have their hand way to busy playing with themselves to be reaching into their pocket to shell out for a real car. You probably drive a excel or getz with a 5inch exhaust on it…

The fact is that aside from the extra height in the tub it could easily be a VU-Z the front & back ends (which will effect my opinion of it) are covered so those of us with taste will have to wait to see it uncovered before we make our decisions

i own a vu ss ute worked and the ve looks great on sedans when the ute comes out and it will hold on guys its just a proto type s wait to you all see the ss version then wait till hsv gets them too. ha ford will get pumped again like their bage says .found. on. rubish. dump. it will blown u away cant wait till i get my hands on one.twin turbo going straight on and i bet i fit 275/285 on the rear with those pumped guards.

  • Paul

The front of the VE looks interesting to say the least, I dont think it would suit a ute really… and anyway why the hell would you buy a ute for performance, doesnt matter how thick your tyres are on the back they dont have much weight over the drive wheels.

  • mick

The VE Ute is being pre launched tonight in melbourne.. 6 different utes will be on display

  • west side

Where is the cab-chassis 1 tonner?

PROPER 3 seater bench seat [middle seat for humans, NOT midgets]

Extra cab with rear jump seats?

Dedicated injected LPG system with 800km+ range?
