Whilst I agree with you [For once] Dan - that the sat nav does stick out.. It had to be as close to the top of the dash so it would be in the drivers perpheral vision..
Why do you think so many after market ones are mounted to the windscreen?

Because even though the Tom-Tom has audible instructions people will often want to look at the map to check that they are going in the right direction etc.

Its the same reason a number of cars have heads-up display projected onth the windscreen - give the driver the relevant information etc but keep their focus on the road

If they put the screen lower down; where the ICE System is it would have meant the driver had to take their eyes off the road which would have resulted in peole drifted out of their lane as you tend to do when adjusting the stereo ir air con; and potentially caused and accident - it only takes a couple of seconds.

They could have made the dash so that the Sat Nav was more flush but that could/would have obstructed the view more as the top of the dash would have been higher and more rigid not to mention made the dash look like it was out of a 4x4

BTW The Screen probably retracts when its switched off

All the Fuegos went to Tassie. I know someone who owns them all. hahahaha.

The only thing bad about this face lift is that it'll take 3 years before Australia sees it. Just like the current model we have here. It took that long to come here they updated the Euro model in the meantime.

Welcome to Australia, drive an antiquated Clio.

Still, they're a great car.

That satnav sticks out like dog's balls... There's so much space in the dash, couldn't they just stick it in there all flush?

Quote [Lukaas] I’m still hopeful Renault somehow makes the V6 MR version of the Clio available here….. how much? 90K 100K?? Still good value for that!

you mean you would seriously consider paying $100K for a Renault Hatch? if I was going to spend that much on a Frenchie I would be looking at a Peugeot instead. That is of course if I was able to walk awy from the Baby M3 The BMW 135i

This things a Mongrel - front end of a Focus; the silouhette of Barina and from the rear it looks like a Mazda 3 / Toyota Yaris with the interior from a Astra

Looks a treat. Pity more of the small hot hatches don't stimulate the visual senses. The whole package comes together nicely, even with the huge front 'mouth'. I must admit the current French offerings are very appealing, if only I had not heard some many bad things about after-sales-service.

Best looking Renault since the Fuego!

Where did all the Fuego's go?

i like this abit better than the current one

hopefully the AUS clio range will be a proper one instead of just the RS...which needs a lesser model to offset the $36,990 asking price!
