German tuner G-Power has created the world’s fastest SUV.

The G-Power BMW X6 Typhoon RS V10 rockets from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds and 0-200km/h in 13 seconds on its way to its 330km/h top speed, making it quicker than any SUV before it.

The BMW X6M, on which the Typhoon RS is based, is powered a turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 developing 408kW/680Nm, although G-Power opted to substitute the standard engine for the E60 M5 V10 as the starting point for its super-SUV.

In order to achieve the required 900hp (671kW) the engineers were looking for, the engine had to be enlarged from 5.0 to 5.5 litres. High-performance forged Mahle pistons replaced the standard items, and twin ASA T1-316 superchargers and an intercooler were installed. The ECU was also modified for quicker throttle response.

The result is a staggering 671kW and 870Nm of torque transmitted to the rear wheels by a bespoke six-speed automatic transmission built in-house by G-Power.

To handle the extra grunt, G-Power also enhanced the vehicle’s dynamics with a specialised aerodynamic kit and custom suspension set-up.

And while the Typhoon’s weight has been reduced to 2230kg (150kg less than the standard model), it’s still a considerable mass that is pulled up by a high-tech brake system that includes 410mm carbon-ceramic discs and six-pot calipers (also 50 per cent lighter than the standard car’s brake system).

Inside is more G-Power customisation designed for the complete super-sport experience. The heavily bolstered racing-style seats are made from ultra-light carbon and there’s a high-end audio system.

Production will be limited to just five units and pricing will start from €675,000 ($865,000).

Hahahahahaha this is a joke right?

Did the car fall down the fast and furious tree and hit every spoiler and side vent branch on the way?

    • Amlohac

Yes but the normal x6 looks like it fell out of the ugly tree anyway. Poor thing should stop climbing trees.

  • Peter

On seeing this, BMW said to G-Power “Is this a joke?”.  G-Power replied “well you started it…”

      HA! Brilliant!

  • Phil

That interior trim is so trippy.

Sue them Ford, Typhoon is your name. People will mistake BMW for Fords.

    • Golfmother

Dumbo’s at ford  probably only registered the name in OZ .

    • Jrc1978

Typhoon is a model of Blazer from Chevy…not Ford.

    • Al Tungupon

It was actually GMC that had the Typhoon before. FPV dropped that name for the FG F6.

      • Amlohac

I called my cat Typhoon, maybe I should sue them

  • Noddy_of_Toyland

More Hot Wheels than hot wheels.

  • Maz

Change that headline from fastest SUV to ugliest…

  • Force-15

As if the regular X6 wasn’t vulgar enough. This just makes me sick.

  • David

Would love to drop the kids off at school in this

    • Amlohac

The kids wouldnt, they would be embarrised by your poor choice in vehicle styling.

      Its. So. Ugly.

  • pwli

Hang on, so this is the new F6 Typhoon?
But it’s a BMW SUV, and not an FPV Sedan!

Note sure the racing Chev powered Italian Fornasari SUV would be scared to take this on….

Infact i think it would smore this GERMan buzz box……

    • Golfmother

Dreamer , chev pushy rod , no hope .

  • Golfmother

What came first the ssangyong Actyon or the X6 , some one copied someone , looks like it would scare small children , looks beasty .

  • Zaccy16

Thats an impressive engine! very over-styled though

  • Gooodjjp

Where do they get V10 engine off e60? wreckers?

  • Valdrin_ziba

get ag life you and your fords and chev… you have nothing its all us made

  • Al Tungupon

You can’t possibly go soft-roading with those tyres. This is probably just for the record, but all this performance would make much more sense in the 5 Series.

    • Amlohac

No one off roads in the normal version anyway Al.

What is the point of having/driving these fast cars when the max speed limit is 80km/h in where you drive 99.99% of the time?  Where do you guys drive all these fast cars? I was in Germany for a week and it was fun driving at 200km/h on autobahns, but here you face massive fines or  you are as fast as $ 10,000 Chinese Cherry J car.

  • SuperChar

Did they get styling advice from Hot Wheels or Matchbox for this one?

  • KWK

0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds seems a tad slow for a that has 671kW and 870Nm. As a comparison, Chrysler’s 2014 Jeep SRT8 hits 0-100km/h in 4.4 seconds straight from the factory.

    • Amlohac

4.8 quoted time by Jeep. Not many have been able to hit that mark, you’ll find a more conservative figure would be 5.2 seconds. Keep in mind that the BMW while ugly as sweaty dogs nuts, is RWD not AWD like the Jeep, slowing its over all 0-100 sprint by a tad.

But yes I do see your point.

  • itsme

This looks just like a hsv with all those add ons stuck on. Over styled just like hsv

  • Vladimir

What about the Cadilac Escalade Hennessey 1000, its faster than the BMW. 0-60 in 3.3 sec
