Holden VF Commodore Sportwagon and Ute revealed

The first pictures of the Holden VF Commodore Sportwagon and Ute have been released by the local maker as its drip-feed strategy continues for its significantly updated large car.

In terms of design, both the wagon and ute versions carry over the look of their predecessors virtually unchanged at the rear and sides but adopt the revised front end of the Holden VF Commodore sedan that was unveiled last week.

The Holden VF Commodore SS ute and Calais Sportwagon front-end treatments naturally mirrors those of the same trims of the SS and Calais sedan. The company has yet to reveal the design of the new entry-level model.

The Sportwagon and Ute will adopt the new VF interior that has so far been the headline change from the outgoing VE Commodore to the new VF, with a marked improvement in both perceived and tangible quality.

The new variants will join the sedan in Holden showrooms from June.

Rumours persist that the wagon and ute could join the Commodore sedan in North America, where later this year it will go on sale badged as a Chevrolet SS.
