2010 MINI Crossman spied
February 3, 2009 by George Skentzos
Now that its name has been officially unveiled, the new MINI Crossman is nearing its production debut with a creatively camouflaged example spied undergoing the final stages of winter testing.
With some decent ground clearance and an all-wheel-drive system, the Crossman is aimed at adding a more ‘masculine’ alternative to the soft-roader market.
Having exhausted every possibility in its ‘one model’ range, a potential downside to the company releasing a crossover is it may alienate the fan base that has rallied around the small car brand.
This new vehicle will also mark the first time a MINI has been assembled outside the U.K., with Austrian manufacturer Magna Steyr contracted for production as MINI’s current facilities struggle to cope with demand.
The MINI Crossman is scheduled for release in 2010 with no current plans to add a fifth model to the line-up.

Wow, is that a new Mini colour option or are they trying to disguise it?
is that a clubman on stilts or normal one?
The stupidity of ppl amazes me.
Mitch, that vehicle is the new Mini 4×4 model, the CROSSMAN, not a CLUBMAN.
Anywho I don’t mind the Clubman but I’m not sure about this hmmmmmm
Yuk – look like it would fall over on the first incline it met. Posuers car at an inflated price over the standard already Ok Mini. Don’t waste your money.
