There already is a production-based class of Le Man car. This is just another type of race car class. It doesn't have to look like any production car, or be based on one.

Do you see the Ferrari, Toyota and Renault F1 cars resemble their road-going cousins?

It should be interesting to see how Aston-Martin do against the mighty Diesels. Should make for some great, innovative engineering stories if they pull it off.

I don't like this *class* of racecar, how does it look like a AstonMartin? It does/nt.

LeMans is for brands that could not make it in F1

LeMan type race cars should be based on PRODUCTION cars that you see on the steet [ok, massive modified], not these LMP1 *cars*.

Cheers

Good luck to them. The best of British taking it to the top, at least theres a bit of Aston in it unlike Toyotas Nascar effort.

Of course they won;t win using a petrol motor they need to develope a diesel racer aka Audi and Peugeot to have a chance at winning.

How do Aston Martin do it? Usually this sort of car is so ugly but this is beautiful. I think it's because it's simple looking. There aren't creases and little bits stuck to it everywhere. It looks great and I love the paint job.
