The prototype looks wider and meaner and the front guards match the rears in terms of how far they flare out. The headlight are also (very) slightly more upright and prominent, harking back to older 911 models.

I think the GT-R Nissan was the best thing to ever happen to Porsche, because it has put a rocket up them, big time!

This thing needs to look wide, low, mean, fast, but still look like a 911 and perform better than the nissan, at least in turbo guise. I have read they are aiming to get the kerb weight of the base model Carrera down to 1300kgs, which is pretty good given the new base engine will go up in power, possibly as high as 270-280kw, with the Carrera S in the 300kw range and the turbo up around 380 to 390kw with 600nm on tap. Its the turbo that will take the challenge to the nissan….can’t wait to see if they can do it!

As for the Evora it looks great but I worry about how many they will sell…and I am yet to see a drive report on it. When it comes to Lotus, all they need to do is build a fixed roof version of the Elise with the basic engine priced slightly below the current car and I am sold! I have not interest in fitting hardtops during inclement weather, God forbid trying to unfold the origami nightmare that is the Lotus Fabric Roof!

Anyway…Porsche Vs Nissan Round 2…bring it on!
