The Rolls-Royce Wraith has been teased ahead of the car’s confirmed unveiling and launch at the upcoming Geneva motor show in March.

Coming just days after announcing the name ‘Wraith’ as the new two-door version of the four-door Rolls-Royce Ghost, the British brand’s teaser image shows the Wraith’s silhouette and flowing lines that it says hint at the extraordinary power and dynamic promise of what will be the most powerful Rolls-Royce in history.

Joining the sole official shot, CarAdvice’s spy photographers have caught the 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V12-engined Wraith still camo-wrapped during cold weather testing near the Arctic Circle.

This is shaping up well. Personally I find the Phantom coupe to be a tad cumbersome looking, but I hope they sharpen up the front of this slightly because I also find the ghost to be a bit bland and soft looking at the front. The side profile of this is spot on though.

they should make an estate car

Why not make a shooting-brake version of the Wraith? Now THAT would be awesome.

i agree! that would be the ultimate rols!

I didn’t think that tall poppy syndrome worked with cars as well.

James May will like this car! if it han’t been anywhere near the nurburgring and has a smooth ride he would sell his light air craft and buy one!

    Looks horribly outdated in shape.

Um… Rolls Royce is a historic brand that keeps its signature design cues, whilst adding technological enhancements…

      • huwtm

Um… Maybe they have signature design cues for their saloons, but this is just plain outdated for a coupe. If they really were all about ‘signature design cues’ they’d hark back to the days where their cars looked liked Morgans.

Also, haven’t you heard of the Bentley Continental? Proof that this design needn’t take this outdated form.

Reasonable points, but the contemporary design cues he was talking about are it’s upright blunt stance I think.

Why not create a name of your own?
