I have read other sources which have stated that this will be priced closer to the 6-series and renamed the E-coupe but i am uncertain whether this will be in competition to the 6. Though in the future mercedes will have a direct 3-series competitor, the C-class coupe. So there will no longer be a CLK.

i am confused on where this will be priced will it be the same price as the 3 sereies coupe or A5 or will it be the smae as the 6 sereis in pricing and a new clk wil lcome out also i love the fact that the coupe has no B pillar

Interesting CA, as your opinion “… new E-Class coupe and cabriolet are based on the C-Class sedan.” differs from that of Car Point who on the 24th note “By upsizing to the E-Class platform Mercedes has been able to make the new Coupe a true 2+2 seater….”

Personally I would like to see the new E Coupe/Cabrio range move to the E platform for obvious size/comfort reasons (and lets face it, the current range is more cruiser than sportster, no real change to customer base) allowing for a model range of more sporting, W204 based Coupe/Cabrio’s.

Whatever platform this car is coming from, its looking damn fine!

Much more handsome and a better looker than the hardtop coupe IMO.

Doesn’t have the awkward rear quarter window.
