Stoner beats Massa in ice kart race
January 21, 2009 by George Skentzos
It seems Australia’s Casey Stoner may have just as much talent on four-wheels as he does two, besting his Marlboro-sponsored Ferrari Formula One teammate Felipe Massa during a friendly winter kart race.
The premium sponsor brought together its two premier racing teams – Ferrari in Formula One and Ducati in MotoGP – for an all-star motorsport meet-and-greet in the Italian Alps.
Drivers of the four-wheeled variety included Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer, Felipe Massa and his brother Eduardo with Kimi Raikkonen out due to an illness.
MotoGP riders present included our own Casey Stoner, Nick Hayden and test rider Vittoriano Guareschi.
Massa led for much of the race, although flashbacks to the F1 driver’s championship scuffle saw Stoner pass him on the penultimate lap to take the chequered flag.
Fellow rider Nick Hayden rounded out the top three, ahead of Badoer, Guareschi and Eduardo Massa.

LOL, nice reply, and its *****PRIMO!*****
The ice-king is party king Kimi from Finland, he hates all these PR days, never attends, Ferrari’s weirdest driver ever!
Stoner is a ok motorcycle rider, but lets face the FACTS he won the Championship on the Ducati for 3 reasons:
1/ Superior Bridgestone tyres.
2/ 20 to 30 HP more than any other bike.
3/ Rossi having tyre issues and engine failures.
The field was more or less level last year and Rossi destroyed him.
Like i said he is a ok rider, in fact better than most, but he is NOT in the class of Rossi..Rosi is GOD!
Cheers,
F-0
Was that Casey Stoner or Ben Coll…I Mean the Stig.
Tonykarts are the best.
Frugal- i think you are being unfair there.
Why? Where were Capirossi and Melandri as Stoner’s team mates?
Down the back with the Kawasakis. If there was such a discrepancy between F1 team mates no one would say of the champ “oh his car was better” they would note that he had a great car and drove it to its full potential- as Casey did.
Even if Rossi did not fall off, he would have lost the title- Casey had it wrapped up by Japan.

Typical hsv man always trying to hard .And i think stoner would prefer to drive his ferrari than a shit box unless his beeing paid to drive the taxi while here in ozz
Stoner won a BMW M3 a little while ago (and an Alfa), I know what I’d be driving…

That would of been a great race to watch! I miss racing Karts….sooo much fun!!
Well at the end of the day stoner has only one title under his name, the true measure of a champion is consistency and the courage to go the distance! Hate him or love him (how could anyone hate such a decent guy) Rossi ticks all the boxes year after year!
