I feel sorry for the hyundai guys back at HQ. They must be thinking: " We gave it stacks of kit, made it ride like its on a cloud, gave it good fuel economy, amde it cheap as chips, reliable as anything, gave it so much warranty its not funny, and it doesnt look half bad. So why isnt everyone buying it?"

I love the Hyundai Grandeur. I think when i'm older i'd get a V6. Only thing they did wrong with the mild facelift is adding the strips on the outside. The back end looks appealing & the front is better than a Camry. Thats for sure. Interior. What can i say. My mum owns a 97 Lantra & to see how much has improved inside is amazing. Finally Hyundai, generally offers a good car. Hope this continues. :) Go Hyundai!

"Is it a luxury saloon or a cheap Korean take off? What does it compete with, surely not my Statesman? "

So, what is it?

What's the point of this car?

You can buy a FG Falcon on LPG and be @0.05c/km

Not a anti-Hyundai posting at all, the new V8 luxo sedan has really got the established players sitting up and taking notice.

But not this one guys,,,,to many better vehicles for this coin or less

Cheers

Alborz - so few comments in such a long time might be a way of suggesting why are you giving airspace to a taxi-car that nobody can get excited about?

Looks totally un-inspiring and totally bland as a Toyota, similar to the king of bland old fashioned styling ......the Camry. Was it styled by Toyota? I can see a few of these with Lawn bowls hats on the rear parcel shelf for sure !!!!

Prefer the 3.8 litre petrol version although given the diesel divide this is still very economical for a large car.

This uses 7.9 combined of far more expensive diesel, that equates to similar running costs as a commodore/falcon.

Its luxuries hardly make up for its image, styling and performance.

Tom, it would appear that you've missed the point entirely. The Falcon doesn't come with so much as standard and would use closer to 12 or 14 litres per 100km, not 7.5. I think that this is the Corolla of large cars. Not bad, just boring. Reliable and well priced with good fuel economy. same demographic too.
