January 9, 2009 by George Skentzos

Nissan has released official footage of a GT-R SpecV prototype lapping the Nürburgring, the exact same car which featured in our earlier spy shots.

While Nissan is still yet to release the highly anticipated timed lap of the famous circuit in the new GT-R flagship, this video does showcase some of the awesome agility and speed of the new SpecV.

Nurb.Ring that the latest Chev Corvette with an engine about half the size.!

  2. CraigMM says:

I know a little Japanese. What he said was: New GTR go rucking rast!!!!

  3. Jester says:

Sick, I love the carbon brakes getting red hot. Not too sure on the price though, 2 x std GT-R is a lot of dough.

This carbon brakes set for V spec are 4,700,000 Yen !!! XD

  5. Jester says:

Tack, no way mate. That’s $75,000, even the 911TT option is $20,000. I think you have a few too many zeros there buddy – the standard GT-R costs 7,770,000 yen in Japan so this would be just crazy option.

    we need a translator, asap

  7. topdog says:

I think i would be shitting my pants going for a ride around that track. Would be great exsperience

  8. Andrew M says:

perhaps their reluctance to quickly release the lap time may mean its not as they would have thought??

if it was a record smasher, they would have had it in the press within minutes

  9. pakdejack says:

this car is japanese legend, hope released soon.

  10. Omale says:

or maybe there building up the interest, then bang, 7m 15s-odd for the lap…

  11. Jester says:

Since the std GT-R does a 7:29 my guess is:

    7:23 for the GT-R Spec-V

    Yes, I was surprised too.

Well, you would need translator software or ask your friends.
According this news, carbon brakes set price 4,700,000Yen
And front seat (carbon Recaro) is 1,090,000Yen each.
    Yes sounds rudicurous.
By the way on the video, the guy said “We choose best of the best carbon brakes…” That means these sets would be better than 20K Porsche option. I don’t know? Why not?
