Jaguar XFR-S sliding through the mountains: video
The Jaguar XFR-S has been unleashed on a tantalising mountain road in Europe following its unveiling at last month's Los Angeles auto show.
The video – posted on Jaguar USA's YouTube page – features the British luxury sports car brand's hottest ever sedan carving up the twisting tarmac, giving us our first taste of the 404kW/680Nm supercharged 5.0-litre V8’s brutal note ahead of the global launch of the Jaguar XFR-S in 2013.
Jaguar Australia brand manager Mark Eedle told CarAdvice the XFR-S should land down under in July/August 2013, confirming it would cost more than $200,000 but less than the $229,500 asking price for the BMW M5. Jaguar Australia expects to sell only a handful of the super-exclusive flagship sedans per year.
Billed as the fastest, most powerful and most agile Jaguar sedan in history, the XFR-S can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 300km/h.
