However, it must be mentioned that the car as it was produced was NOT any kind of a good handler. A very awkward rubber suspension, instead of springs, and too much weight in the rear--due to the rear engine--made the handling very sketchy, according to the Dec. 1972-Jan. 1973 issue (#14) of Special Interest Autos, who test drove one. It only compounded the problem that this was a genuine 120 mph car! That said, once it got into production, you could imagine that they would have worked some of these problems out.
