For those of you who don’t think that they can afford the $150-200K for a real Nissan GT-R.
I have just seen an Article on inside line about the Tokyo Auto Salon and there was a miniature version of the GT-R.
Sure it doesn’t have a twin turbo V6 or AWD.. but that could be because its built on a Suzuki Cappucino. It does however; look like a GTR and it does have a removable roof

I can’t believe people still go on about the launch control. Come on. Seriously who cares?

It probably only makes a poofteenth difference to 100 (soon to be confirmed) and if you are thrashing your car repeatedly at the traffic light grand prix, you deserve to lose your gearbox.

The HSV comparison is not even close.

The ZR1..

Well, considering its pretty much a “super-duper version of the vette” on steroids… its not that surprising.

I would like to see Mine’s or Blitz or Nismo make a super duper version of the GTR and it’ll be a better comparo to the ZR1..

I was taken for a spin in a private import GTR and all I have to say it was mighty impressive.

It was raining and the thing stuck to the road like sh** sticks to blanket. I would not expect the same result in a HSV.

I saw a motor test of the GTR, the now launch control-less GTR ran a 12.1 against the W427’s 12.8. Not as much slower as you’d think.

But yeah, really, as if a commodore could hope of comparing.

And in the real world, a ZR1 is a much faster car, on the roll tests show significant differences in acceleration.

And topdog, when you are talking boosted engines capacity means nothing, the GTR has a twin turbo setup and runs significantly higher boost pressure.

Is that thread for real or was it a joke comparing a hsv to any of these cars must be joking it would be slaughtered around a track bye a gtr or zr-1 it would not know were the hell the other cars have gone.

I sure would hope the zr-1 is quicker than the gtr Its lighter has a blown engine nearly twise the size of the nissan .The gtr is heaver and its blown engine is waaay smaller.The only thing that keeps the gtr up with the zr-1 is clever enginering and that 4 wheel drive

I’d love a new GT-R in my drive but unfortunately I think I will only be able to afford the fully detailled 1:18 scale [Autoart] model which is soon to be released by Biante Model Cars for $180 instead of $180;000

Every comparison video I have watched the ZR-1 usually laps a track around 1 sec ahead of the GTR.(and these are tighter tracks than the Nürburgring.)
Sure they might come closer or even beat it with a better driver but put that same driver in the ZR-1 and I would back the ZR-1 everytime.

Like you can modify the Nissan anyway, why are we comparing a HSV Coupe which is worth half the money?

Anyway, a feature of the car destroys the transmission, lets not improve the transmission, just remove the feature. I like that logic.
