2009 Land Rover Discovery facelift spied

The face lifted Land Rover Discovery has been spied in Sweden during its final stages of testing before it is due to hit showrooms early next year.
The majority of the visual changes will focus on the front end, with slight revisions anticipated for the interior as well.
At the front, these shots reveal a new grille with modified cross bars as well as new headlamps reminiscent of the Range Rover facelift.
The tail lamps are now equipped with new LED technology while new wing mirrors and sills complete the visual modifications.
Early reports suggest that Land Rover’s new 5.0-litre V8 engine will also find its way under the bonnet of the new Disco.

Seriously.. does anyone even care?
Um, CA, Land Rover have already put out official pictures and it’s already in showrooms in Europe. In fact, there are even a couple appearing on the second hand market already. I do hope that engine appears soon as it spells a very good reason to update my Range Rover.
Crouchy – you obviously don’t care but nobody else cares that you don’t care! I for one do care and there are plenty of others that do, just because a vehicle is not built in Australia and not bought in great numbers here doesn’t mean it isn’t any good; the Disco has been voted best luxury off roader a few years running.

Im not doubting that this is a nice car, im just wondering how many people read this and think “I CANT WAIT TO SEE THOSE NEW TAIL LAMPS”

Crouchy, youre initial comment was too snappy and gave the wrong impression. I care as I like LRs and think the Disco is fabulous.
Wow, I hope this really comes to the dealers soon, can’t wait! About time to get the LEDs in aswell. A great car will be even greater!
The picture shown above is truly new… the models freely available now (I own one) were a 2008 mid year facelist (landed in Sydney Oct) dubbed the “2009″ model but still just a facelift from the 2008 model. There was the wheel arch colour, and some light differences, and an upgraded stereo.
The one shown above is a development car due for “unwrapping” 2009.
So, the statement that they are available on the 2nd hand market already is wrong.
