I own and love the lotus EXIGE S 240 Which reminds me of the shape of the Le Mans cars. Crowds flock around it. The racey appearance and performance is stunning. The Evora will be an excellent car for petrol heads around the world to embellish with go fast gear if lotus even hesitates for one moment. I just sold a porsche 965 turbo, a stunning car, but somehow it was looking a bit outdated. I am picking up a ferrari this week but I dont think that I will have it for long as the lotus reliability using the toyota motor really appeals as a number one priority. Go get em lotus-hang one on the opposition its about time.

Does anyone else think that these look a bit bland and behind the times? I don't think I'd like one sitting in my driveway. How much are they?

Alex,
I am not so sure. Proton owns Lotus and they share quite a bit of stuff. The Satria Neo has the same passive rear steering and chassis. Proton even put a "designed by Lotus" badge on the tailgate.

The Salesman, I have a feeling the Lotus's dials will be of higher quality than those horrible Proton's ones. After all, this is meant to be a luxury supercar.

I fear the closest i will get to one is in the Proton Satria Neo, and even then only the dash board and dials will be the only thing that is similar.

Completely agree with George, about time Lotus to taste their long overdue rewards. Great car.

Nonsense, I'll add Alex to the article! :P

The Evora is certainly the right car at the right time for Lotus. They have been making environmentally friendly sports cars since before it was fashionable, and if they play their cards right, now is the time this will pay off for them.

Im considering putting my name down for one of these, although I'm obviously not high profile. The only things stopping me is promise of a future high performance version and that according to this story, Boris Johnson is getting one. It reminds me of the Porsche 911 but I'm getting so sick of the 911 because they keep putting a "new model" out that just looks like a minor mid life facelift and then two weeks later, there's spy shots of the next 911 and you think should I wait for that? Well the answer is no - don't wait for that, get a Lotus. I think this is a car that just won't disappoint. The handling will probably be better than that of a Porsche and I'm sure it will have the engine to match - it certainly looks better too.
