Nissan has given us a preview of the 2013 Nissan 370Z ahead of the updated Japanese sports car’s unveiling at next week’s Paris motor show.

The refreshed 370Z scores subtle exterior styling tweaks and cabin enhancements, along with an updated colour palette and new alloy wheel designs.

The first official image of the 2013 Nissan 370Z exposes a revised air intake and vertical LED daytime running light strips at the extremities of the modified front bumper.

Nissan has made no mention of any upgrades to the 370Z’s powertrain, suggesting the facelifted model will retain the current car’s 245kW/353Nm 3.5-litre V6, which launches both the coupe and the roadster from 0-100km/h in under 6.0 seconds.

The covers will come off the hardtop and convertible variants of the 2013 Nissan 370Z at Paris on September 27. Nissan Australia’s Peter Fadeyev confirmed the updated model is expected to reach local showrooms in December this year.

Prices of the updated model are expected to align closely with those of the 2012 model, which currently starts at $68,640 for the 370Z coupe and $74,990 for the 370Z roadster.

Sales of the Nissan 370Z have fallen around 11 per cent in Australia so far this year, down from 384 after the first eight months of 2011 to 342 this year.

  • Why

Still about 20k too expensive. Where do Nissan get off lol

    • Chilli

It certainly isn’t cheap but keep in mind Australia gets the top spec model variant. Plus I picked up a brand new coupe manual for $56k, so the RRP is almost a joke.

      • ffffff

Aussies don’t get the top spec variants. this is something your dealer tells you to justify you paying more.

  • MisterZed

Doesn’t matter what ‘tweaks’ they make – this thing is still hideous. Not that the 350Z was anything special, but this is worse.

    • Jamie

Have you seen one in the flesh? Appearance is subjective but I’m one who thinks it looks great.

      • MisterZed

Yes I have seen plenty. Also, the AU spec model has a rear wiper which further adds to the ugliness. US models don’t have the wiper.

        • matt

rear wiper legal requirement in japan i think (see those imported sedans with the wiper too?) considering we would get an “özzied” up version… wiper stays!

      • Robin_Graves

I too think they look great, but then again I am a 240Z fanboy so that may influence me a bit!

    • Zaccy16

Its not good looking but its definatly not hideous, the 350z looked better

  • Chilli

The facelift model has been on sale in the US for almost a year now…

  • m1n1s1n

Car looks sexy as, Much too good for a Nissan Badge

  • DJ

I love the look of 370Z’s — simply stunning to see in real life — even in stock form,, but the price of getting into one is extremely prohibitive *sigh*

  • Turbodewd

Be wary of the 370Z soft-top.  My friend bought one a few wks ago, he has a roof leak.  Alas also, unusually, a panel behind the roof required a respray.  And to top it all off the stereo microphone when paired to his iphone doesnt work very well, people calling him when he’s in his car report he is coming thru very feintly.

Otherwise hes very happy with it.

Nissan quality control a bit lacking.  This meshes with my recent experience in a car yard looking at a 2yo Maxima which was losing the thick plastic covering/paint stuff near the seatbelt lock rubbing against the center console. It had worn away this covering and i accidentally cut myself on it.  Not very good Nissan!

  • JJ

Going to need a lot more styling tweaks to make a Nissan attractive…

  • Dan

Ladies and gents, the 370z is powered by the VQ37VHR a 3.7 L engine not 3.5 as noted in the article.

    • matt

it took that many comments? really? thank-you “dan”

  • F1orce

The 370Z is one of Nissans best cars remaining.

  • GIG

Well, for me Z34 is the best looking Z-car ever…unbeatable design language in its segment, and the NISMO edition looks even better.

    • Chilli

To bad we dont get the Nismo version :(

  • trololololol

Styling tweaks previewed? Uh…official pics of the next gen have been all over the internet about 6 months ago! But i Still cant wait…….

  • Zaccy16

    bargain for the price
