BMW Performance 3 Series range revealed

BMW teased us earlier this month with a short glimpse of its new BMW Performance 3 Series accessories.

Now the brand has revealed a little more, debuting the full version of its teaser trailer showcasing the current BMW Performance siblings.

Additional performance accessories for the 3 Series are roughly similar to those available for the 1 Series, spread across five categories: aerodynamics, braking, chassis, cockpit and drivetrain.

The aerodynamics package includes M front and rear diffusers, carbon fibre splitters and rear spoiler.

Chassis accessories add retuned sports suspension, double spoke lightweight 19-inch wheels and a suspension cross-brace in either aluminium or carbon fibre.

Inside, BMW Performance offers aluminium pedals, aluminium gear lever know with Alcantara gate, carbon highlights, short-throw shifter, a Formula One-inspired steering wheel with heads-up display and black Alcantara sports bucket seats.

The drivetrain unlocks some much needed vocals from any of the 3 Series’ award winning six-cylinder engines with an air intake system and sports exhaust, whilst a six-piston brake upgrade is also available.

By the time you trick a 3 sries up with the “performance” accessories you probably will be looking at a car that looks like an M3 and isn’t much cheaper than a M3….Just buy the M3 it has all the performance gear that actually makes it perform…not just pose.

I don’t understand why they are doing this, doesn’t this kind of demean the M Division? I’d rather a BMW Alpina.

Once again BMW has not failed to disappoint, but as Gibbo says not much different to the M3 and with not much price difference best to just get the M3

Can’t wait to see some 320i Executives with these much needed stick on bits. Especially that carbon spoiler. Classy.

BMW is a pretty bad value for money if you look at the base models. 135 coupe will cost you a fortune if you put a few optional extras, otherwise it just looks plain. Base models of Euro cars are cheap and nasty. I agree with the comment above, starting off with a 3-series and putting al these optional extras will bring it into the M3 price range territory. Even the little 135 was 100K on the road with a number of these options.
There is a reason why jap cars are still bang for your buck.

This is a great idea i believe.
You may pay them out for it but i can guarentee this division was made from the demand from the customers.
Not everyone wants to buy all the parts in the range but god how nice is that carbon lip, if i owned a 3 series id be ordering one right now!
