2009 Porsche Panamera gallery leaked
November 24, 2008 by George Skentzos
It seems to have become the norm recently for new models to be conveniently leaked just before their official reveal, as is the case for the highly anticipated Porsche Panamera.
Rather than bore you with speculative specifications, instead here is the current leaked gallery of the latest addition to the growing luxury sports sedan market.
Translating the Porsche design philosophy over to the Cayenne SUV produced arguable results; however Porsche appears to have been far more successful in adding another two doors to its current coupe range.
While the unconfirmed engine line-up includes a range of naturally-aspirated and turbocharged V8 powertrains, one official leaked image also indicates a hybrid rendition is in the works.
The official details are due to be released within the week, but in the mean time what is your opinion on Porsche’s latest addition to its growing line-up?

Very nice.
Don’t mind this at all. Certainly better looking than a CLS.
ok, i really do like it – that said i am a massive porshe fan…
but yeh, i think its beautiful – and no it’s not a rendering coz u can even see the interior!
good work P O R S C H E =]
Front is very nice actually, especially that first image on the top. But the back… What were they thinking??? it’s really really ugly, especially the side profile, looks like a stretched 911 but with long nose and short stubby tail.
It Doesn’t do it for me. I would much rather have the Merc-Benz CLS.. its the best looking 4 door-coupe I’ve seen
Although I must say that going from the side-on photo; a Porsche Touring Sports-Wagon wouldn’t look bad.
It’s a shame BMW pulled the plug on the CS concept, that’s the best looking of these new breed of sleek sedan. With the BMW canned, the Lamborghini Estoque is my favourite of the sedan with low roof line.
Cyster, you is so UUUUUUGLY!
Agree Wheelnut. I don’t like it much either. Porsche should stick only to coupes and not 4 door coupes and SUV’s! I’d prefer a CLS or the Aston Martin 4 door than the Panamera.
I have great respect for Porsche(more so for their engines) but this car is hideous. The side profile is awful and the rear looks so-so.
Jeremy Clarkson is going to have a field day when he reviews this car.
I like it a lot but I would actually love to see a Panamera Wagon. It would look better than a Cayenne and I personally would find it desirable enough to buy.
Doesn’t do it for me. Everything was going ok and then I saw it from the side!!
As long as you don’t look at it from the side i think it looks OK. And because of the badge, it will sell thousands regardless. Mercedes CLS is still the ugliest car on the road, hands down.
If i could afford that, i would so buy one. That is gorgeous!!!
And this is coming from a guy who hates Porsche!!!!
All they had to do was give the thing a boot so it had a sedan profile and rear end but with a traditional porsche looking nose to provide the brand connection. But instead that wanted it to look like a stretched four-door 911, which in a way it does but doesn’t really succeed.
Regardless, this thing will be AWESOME dynamically, just like every other current Porsche product, including the widely disliked Cayenne.
As for Clarkson, if he bags a car that’s a damn good reason to go out and have a serious look at it in my book.
I’d be MUCH more inclined to listen to Hamster or Captain Slow.
PS – Search youtube for Top Gear Series 12 – there is a clip of the Veyron going around the track driven by the stig, along with a Pagani Zonda F Roadster. The sound of the pagani is unbelievable. Bugatti does not break the lap record, still held by the Gumpert Apollo.
JJ– I agree with what you’ve said.
The reason why I mentioned Jeremy Clarkson is because he tends to have a dislike for Porsche.I think this Porsche is going to add more fuel to the fire- so to speak.
I think people know by now not to take JC’s reviews as gospel.
Hole heartedly agree with with what jj said about the profile of making it into a streched coupe, a simple sedan or astoneseque rear door window style would have been much better…
Come one B-Man, the CLS the ugliest car on the road? I don’t think so. I like the CLS but I can see why other people wouldn’t. However, Ssangyong Stavic, Holden Barina, Nissan Cube, Nissan Murano (updated), BMW X3, Holden Epica, Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Nitro, Saab 9-5, Subaru Impreza to name a few. If you don’t find at least five of these cars uglier than the Mercedes-Benz CLS, there is, no doubt about it, some thing wrong with your eyes and/or the way you see things.
The front is great but as you go along it gets uglier and uglier. Porsche should only make 2 door supercars!
Spectacularly ugly, it’s like a Cayenne that’s been rear ended by Saab.
anyone remeber the old Jensen Interceptor? Probably 30 years old now, and the rear end looked a lot like this one. Not my cup of tea at all, but I can understand why it has to be so, to give some head and leg room. Too ugly for me, no matter how good it is. I am way to shallow and superficial to spend bucketloads unless I loved the car, and I’d cringe every time I saw this thing side on. People pointing and laughing at me would also tend to get on my nerves!
^pious, only thing, interceptors had a huge glass hatch as you would no doubt recall aswell but i can see your point. What I don’t see is porsche’s overall point.
The cayenne’s point was because range rovers didn’t cost enough and I’m sure the odd 4 door lambo or quattroporte would cramp this ones market.
Can’t help thinking Porsche are again platting the American market’s s**t here by building 4 door versions of their sports cars. These things just end up white elephants.
Stick to a.k.a GT3s I say and btw, I think the CLS is way better looking.
HOLY EEEE….SHEEEET the FUGLIESTTTTT car to come out of the porsche factory in many many years, i cant even bare to look at it, woops i just did and threw up in my mouth. Better looking than the CLS someone said, WHAT WHATTT???? are u drunk… If porsche think they are in the same arena as the Maserati Q4 or Merc Brabus S, or even maybe the Audi S8, THEIR DRUNK TOO….
Bomb the bloody thing i say….
What a ‘courageous’ and ‘challenging’ look… Why this must have taken all of 10seconds w the photocopier and a photo of the 911 and that ‘fit to size’ button. Really, the EASIEST styling job in the world must be at Porsche: “vot? A 4 door? Ja ve make it look like a 911. A SUV? Ja zat is like 911 too.”
could have been awsome, but styling to chunky & heavy handed
