People, you cannot compare TT or TTS or what ever with the 370Z. This thing is the real deal, proper coupe, not some “sporty” car.
This car is made to perform, not to look pretty like some plasticky Audi or a VW, plus Euro cars cannot compare with quality with the Nissan product like a 370Z, and that comes from a personal experience.
Can’t wait to get this Z in my driveaway

Aah – I love the TT (platform included) as for the Golf. Why would anyone buy one when the A3 is a better prosition at not a lot more cash.
The platform thing is inverted snobbery. Folk oftern question why GM’s Saab 93 uses a Vectra platform or the X-type uses a mondeo platform. Theres nothing wrong with either, they are both exceptional, its whats hung off it that counts.

Cupid, yes the Scirocco does not currently have a big engine and AWD, but if I’m not mistaken, the 370z is not currently on the market. Can I ask why people are bad mouthing the TT and Scirocco because it’s on the Golf platform? The Golf platform is a fantastic one and people are saying it like it’s a negative.

Theres the flaw in your argument Alex – the sirocco doesn’t have 4WD and doesn’t have a big V6. So i’m right then it currently does not compete with a 370. Also isn’t the floorpan used on the 2009 Golf (I might be wrong).

Alex, yeah that’s what i meant. A V6 TT would be much more expensive than the 370Z. Ultimately though, it really depends on the buyer, TT even in base 4 cylinder trim offers much more prestige and style for the fashion concious. 370Z might be not as stylish, but i’m sure it’ll be a better drive.

If a Sirroco had 200 plus KW it would be in the same league. Having driven a TTS I would wait for the 5 cylinder TTRS

Love it or hate, each will have their opinion (which everyone is entitled to).

I sit on the ‘Love It’ side. Being a Nissan fan thru & thru (well sports coupes, Silvia’s, GTR’s, 350z,etc) I think this thing is beautiful. A lot of people are making comparisons to the porsche’s, (dually granted/noted) but how about you go look at a the late 70′s Datsun/Nissan 280z and you can see that its not all about the Porsche….
My only gripe would be that these 350z & 370z need a turbo out of the factory. Maybe not twin huffers, but something. That said, aftermarket installs are easy as pie these days, with great potential (400rwkw+) out of these VQ37 engines.

Alan, you can get a V6 AWD version of the TT and no doubt the Scirocco eventually, although I’m sure it’s more expensive. Victory, what do you mean because it’s Nissan they can’t get away with making such a horrid car? That’s to say that Nissan usually make good looking cars yeah? Micra, Cube, updated Murano, X Trail, Pathfinder? All quite ugly and that’s most of their range.
