Went to trade my petrol NM in on a Paj DiD Exceed but was really dissapointed in the unchanged interior, general unchanged build quality, bloody noisy engine and shocking trade in valuation.
I bought a V6 Tdi Touareg….. and I cant stop smiling. (both on and off road)

This is a great car with a fantastic engine. Now they use the identical donk in Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7, Q5, A4 and A6. Well done VW. I feel special every time I drive mine.

I am looking for a vehicle with a tow rating of 3.5tonne braked.
Does the Toureg 3L V6 TDI qualify?

I bought one too – and haven’t looked back. Tows like a dream, goes like a cut cat, and doesn’t say ‘wanker’ like the other badges. Only 3 gripes:- spacesaver spare (disgraceful in such an accomplished off-roader), it should be 300kgs lighter (reportedly the new 2010 model will be!), and the options are overpriced – a typically German trait.
Anyone suggest where I can pick up a second hand spare for off-roading?

does anyone know whether an extra seat can be fitted in the cargo area?(leagally) or whether a 7 seat varient will be released?

I bought one too. It’s everything that’s claimed. The 3tdi engine is a revelation. It’s better for towing than my old Lancruiser V8! And much cheaper
