BMW Australia has announced it will include its Service Inclusive Plus package on every new car ordered and delivered in September and October, presenting potential buyers with wallet-free servicing for the first three years of ownership.

The limited BMW Service Inclusive Plus offer gives new car buyers the benefit of the normally optional BMW Service Inclusive service package, covering basic scheduled servicing such as annual vehicle checks, oil changes and labour costs, plus additional maintenance items such as brake pads, brake discs, worn clutches and windscreen wiper blades all over a period of three years or 60,000km.

BMW says the servicing offer represents $3171 of added value for BMW customers.

BMW Group Australia managing director Phil Horton says the offer stems from customers considering a vehicle’s “whole-of-life-costs” more as part of their purchase decision.

“We understand that a premium purchase is an emotional decision but we are also making sure that owning a BMW stacks up from a rational point of view,” he said.

The servicing offer only includes vehicles both ordered and delivered between the period between September 1 and October 31, 2012.

When you are paying double than you should be, that is the least they can do.

  • Nada

    Built into the price :P

Built into the price? Nope, the ACCC wouldn’t allow that.

    Good move BMW

Per km BMW service costs are very reasonable as compared to say Lexus
So not such a big giveaway as most would think

Cheaper than Mazdas and Subarus with their 6 month service intervals!

You’re basically saving $800 total! Each basic oil service is approximately $400 at BMW Dealership; BMW recommends servicing every 2 years or 25,000km which means they’ll only carry out 2 oil services within those 3 years/60,000km maximum! Any additional maintenance, you’d have to pay your self…and lets face it, you’d be an idiot to leave your oil filter and oil in the car for 2 years. BMW brakes usually last around 60,000km anyway so there is no saving there, clutches last at least 100,000km and windscreen wiper blades are around $20 each.

I have no idea where they got $3,121 saving value!Sources:I own a BMW ///M3 E46

If BMW doesn’t break down that frequently after five to seven years, its normal servicing cost is actually on par or even cheaper than many Japs cars.

      That’s a big IF…
