Red Bull Racing has taken to the streets of New York and New Jersey in a Formula One car in a bid to build excitement ahead of the (now postponed) Formula One Grand Prix of America.

Seen cutting through public streets and major roads, including an ear-melting run through the Lincoln Tunnel, the 2011 Championship-winning Red Bull Racing RB7, with former F1 steerer David Coulthard behind the wheel, brings residents out of their homes to take glimpse at the super rare sight.

Originally expected to join the F1 calendar in June 2013, the event appears more likely to take place in 2014.

Red Bull Racing's American Vacation

It’s not the first time the energy drink-sponsored team has hit the tarmac in New York. In June, Red Bull Racing star Sebastian Vettel lapped the intended future US street circuit in an Infiniti G Coupe.
