Video: BMW Performance 3-Series teaser
November 12, 2008 by George Skentzos
BMW has released a short teaser video showcasing its line-up of accessories for the new 3-Series performance range.
This new range of parts is aimed at transforming the look of some of BMW’s more potent 3-Series offerings by introducing some visual drama to match their performance.
BMW has added to the intrigue by accompanying its teaser video with a short statement, indicating the full range of options would be announced later this month.
Can’t wait to see more? Join us again in November when we will show you what genuine driving pleasure is all about. Because with BMW Performance true passion is a matter of course. See you then.
Rather than mimicking the flagship M3, BMW Performance division parts boast their own unique and aggressive styling.
From the short video, we can see obvious additions such as the new front and rear bumpers, carbon-fibre wing mirrors and a new wheel design.
Recently BMW Performance has applied its engineering expertise to the 1-Series with spectacular results; expect similar options to be introduced for the 3-Series.

The m3 and the 335i are the only real performance 3 series.
I really like how the m3 looks already, and i wouldn’t exactly modify a 335i (’s looks) either.
This has to be one of the coolest BMW’s I have seen in a while. The have produced again haven’t they??/
Hi Tom,
Don’t forget 320si.
It’s hand-built four-cylinder engine
The high revving 2.0L unit delivers 173hp at 7,000rpm !!!
It’s of course The limited production. I am not sure someone brought here in AUS?
These Performance parts cost kill most potential buyer…
I think 335+full option parts total price more than M3.
I think this is old news. I read sometime ago that BMW were revitalising the “Ti” label on lesser cars.
Sure Bavarian Missile would know more on this.
Tack, i don’t really consider a high reving 4 with 170hp a performance motor, that sounds more like something you would find in a honda.
Hi TOM,
Just for number…Yes, nothing special.
But this is WTCC homologation special car.
Total production is only 2500 unit world wide.

I think 320si is special performance car more than any current 3er.
170hp is only 127kw, the Civic type r makes 147kw from a 2.0 NA
If I’m not mistaken, the 320si only sold in Europe/UK? Also, weren’t they planning to aim these “Performance” parts at more of the car club/track day racer market?
At any rate, it looks kinda cool. Completely avoids the cheap tacky look that (for example) the X5’s M-Sport kit gives =)
