Actually Robin he was considering it was his 2nd car and the point of my comment was how can someone question people buying a current one based on previously owning a car that was built around 15 yrs ago, its a pretty dumb statement don`t you think?

Loaf Says:

After owning an Audi 80 I have sworn never to own another Audi. It was the most un reliable, expensive to run, expensive to service pile of rubbish I have ever owned. Who knows why they are so popular now. The VT Berlina I purchased after the Audi was 10 times better.

Gee and I guess they wouldn`t have changed much since the Audi 80, this is probably one of the dumbest things I`ve read to date. On that statement I guess the current Commodore would be no better than the VT.Just for the record my partner had an Audi 80 1993 model and it wasn`t a problem for us, so I guess you can have a bad car from any manufacturer, I`m pretty sure you could find some complaints about VT Commodores too.

There is just something about the Audi styling that just does not do it for me. My choice would always be Mercedes first, BMW second and VW third. In fact I dont think I could ever contemplate Audi.

If only they were a tad cheaper I'd own an A6 in an instant. I agree with most of what appears above - very well designed, well built, good looking... and those interiors!

I find it amazing how Audi can keep their family face on all of their cars for decades...and still make them look modern. I mean, look at the Audi 80 from the 80/90's - they still resemble the basic lines of the A4, A6's of present. Really have to hand it to Audi, their styling department know how to make a good looking car, yet no go over the top, an example of this is the R8.

And over the last decade, their drive has been really improved when it now nearly matches worlds best. Finally, their interiors are the best I have ever seen. Stylish, yet ergonomic and have the best quality.

I know, sounds like I am an Audi fanboy - but they are all facts, and Audi deserve this praise.

Well done Audi, finally your getting the recognition in sales you deserve. Your cars are a credit to you and I believe you probably have the most attractive line up of all the manufacturers and personally think you build the best looking cars, especially your brilliant interiors. I can`t think of one that I wouldn`t be happy to own, but there are definitely some I`d prefer.
