Top Gear all summer long from Nov 24

Clarkson, Hammond and May are set to make their return to the Australian small screen for a full summer of motoring, with SBS having announced it will begin airing Season 11 from November 24.
Not only that, but SBS also plans to catch up to the UK by presenting back-to-back new episodes of Top Gear each week by immediately airing Season 12 on January 5.
The original UK trio will make their return as Top Gear Australia moves into hiatus in preparation for its second season.
“We know Top Gear fans have a real thirst for the latest antics from the British Top Gear team and so SBS has an action packed summer planned for our audience,” Director of Content, Matt Campbell said.
In the first episode, Clarkson utters that famous line “How hard can it be?” when they encounter the idea of designing their own police cars on a budget.
Among other highlights, Season 11 includes Clarkson’s highly-anticipated review of the new Nissan GT-R as well as a race across Japan against the most efficient public transport system in the world.
The cheap car challenge makes yet another return when the hosts are each asked to buy an Alfa Romeo for just £1000 and are then faced with a series of challenges.
All new episodes of Top Gear air on SBS from Monday 24 November in its usual timeslot of 7:30pm.

Great! I can’t wait to get back to the UK because I don’t think the UK will ever get Australian Top Gear. UK Top Gear is just so much better. And for once, Australia won’t even be a year behind! Can’t wait.

Just watched TGUK Season 12 Ep 1 last night – f@#%ing brilliant.
Onya SBS, somebody is finally delivering what the viewer wants. True global television that is delivered up to date.
Brilliant work SBS, this will rate really well because it’s more current and relevent, less people have seen it online and we all know that summer TV is 95% rubbish.
Didn’t see much of season 11, so I guess it’s a good thing. But doubt I’ll wait a couple months to watch season 12. I’d rather keep up with it now. S12 Ep1 was very good, the Lorry challenge was a crack-up.

I have watched all TGA 1-6 episodes…and I don’t see any improvement whatsoever. Thank good TGUK comming back…sorry guys…lame show.

It looks like he just pulled out his hipflask with pure moonshine in it and sculled it! Gee he is a legend and funny as. Another difference between Aussie show and UK show is UK mob absolutely fullon hammers the car when they drive it in the show – Clarkson especially! (unlike Aussie mob who are exact opposite)

I said in an earlier post i hope they run seasons 11-12 back to back and they are! Its gunna be good to have something great to watch over summer.
To all those bagging TGA, if you dont like it, dont watch it. Its that simple! I for one am enjoying an aussie car show thats actually entertaining.
SBS to show current TGUK, best news I’ve heard in years! (Admittedly I don’t get out much!)
I enjoyed TGA in the end, no-where near as good as the TGUK but still the best Aussie car show by miles.
But please SBS, PLEASE, you must axe Charlie Cox. The other 2 are passable but Coxie must go.
