Dear Gums,What language is that? It seems you should be concentrating on schooling, rather than the environment, then we all may be able to take your comments seriously,I may be just some old fart, who is seriously contemplating the purchase of a hybrid, but I would appreciate serious comment in our native tongue.

About a week ago, carsguide in the herald sun, said that the Commodore would have a diesel by the end of the year. I can't find the article online, but it was definitely in the paper.

Yeah Myke, I did laugh when Ford this week selected LPG as their future fuel. I was expecting that sort of comment from Holden.

^agreed
I would also like to see government rebates for hybrids. Most are so expensive, that the price of the car at the beginning, would in the long run, cost more than a car of similar size that isn't a hybrid.

And considering not many people are warming to the idea of LPG, this would be a better solution and encourage more car companies to make hybrids.

I think its good to have the choice, for a while it seemed like Prius was going to be the only serious Hybrid. What i'd like to see is some government rebate for Hybrids to make them more competitive.

In regards to the top 10, they are all (no surprise) very very small cars. The Civic & Prius are at least a good size for family use.

although it probably would make the top ten in Oz, considering most of those vehicles/engines aren't even in Oz, in fact it only seems the Civic Hybrid is.
