Thanks Caradvice & Caltex. Got the card in the mail. Think im going to spend it on el'premo for the skiboat or if the price keeps heading south even my very own barrel of oil.

Forza, read the comment again apart from the motor it fell short. Thought i'd test it against the proper offroaders. In the end the Pajero won out. Good for skull draging the boat out of half built boat ramps. the way too infrequent trips to the sand and parks.

It handles pretty good for a bus, sips fuel slower than gran does tea. Prado missed out because of the contemptuous prices, spec & its rear diff being made out of forged carrots.

Had it had the ability to be lifted, cover the underside in steel & aluminium so rocks couldn't have their way with it and reroute the zhorst from being the lowest point at the rear then it might have come home with me. The engine is better than the one in the pathfinder and the patrol.

That's why you don't use a name like "Tom" on a comment system that doesn't require you to signup and login :P

Since we can't comment on the code of conduct post, i believe we need our own individual accounts for comments, ALA autoblog style.

I've seen various other people posting under my name

Gees i would hate to see what you give to someone who actually has half a clue... If you are buying an X-Trail (or any Compact SUV) and ground clearance is important to you, then you are buying the wrong car. As for the chassis being a big turn off then once again maybe you should be looking at a different type of car.
