Quit whining nerds... This thing will be cool, bheaper than a rotten X3 and cooler for dads than a Rav4 or CRV.

Big trucks are dead, but A car is too much a step down for some.

Gimme it now, but for 30K+ I'll just get a real big boy truck and leave this one to the spoiled teenagers for their snowboreds.

Wish they had put a beetle on the juice, I would be rocking that bad boy already. Where's thje 2010 21 window van at already?

Waahhhhh, your diluting my brand, like there is such a thing. I can't believe they'd make a product people might want...

Go talk to a family member and stop worrying about cars.

Waste of space!!!

How the Business Case for this and the Clubman was approved defies logic.

They may well have slapped a scion badge on it it's that boxy

“masculine” alternative in the hotly contested crossover market...masculine...about as masculine as my gran's poodle!

Come on Wheelnut - I don't think there is much denying that this thing will be pretty popular when it comes out. Don't forget that there is a considerably smaller market for utes in the world as there is for compact SUVs. For people complaining about the Clubman, at least it was a historical model that they made in the sixties or seventies so it's not like Mini just decided to pit out a station wagon. And all the stuff about bad visibilty in the Clubman is right, but if they had gotten rid of the barn doors, well it would have been pointles. And it's not as if the Clubman drives badly or anything - it's about as fun as a Cooper. BMW are not stupid for making this car - it will sell in obscene numbers especially in America and Europe and it will probably get supermini (or close to) economy as well.

Hopefully Magna Steyr are supplied with a greater quality level of parts unlike BMW did with the first batch of X3s. BMW surely doesn't want to make that mistake again.

The concept seemed like a fish to me; will be interesting to see how this really turns out.

Oh and black with yellow paisley? MINI should make it an optional color scheme =p

Ok, how many different variants can they squeeze out of one car?
First we had the new Cooper and varieties, then the Clubman now an SUV? Come on BMW/Mini give it up and just stick to what you do best and thats the Cooper.

A completely pointless waste of bmw resources and the ultimate dilution of the mini brand.

I can't wait to see what the production version of this looks like because to me, the concept was a bit too over done. I liked the general shape but it was just a tad to futuristic and it had some features that although were quirky, were also just a bit impractical. Im not sure about a Mini SUV because it can't be that mini to be classed as a compact SUV, but still.
