Front end looks hot & the rims scream look at me! Just a shame that in 3 months time there will be cheap “knock offs” of these rims on VL Turbos & fully sic VS commodores!

Loss as in numbers huge percentage down compared to previous quarters and same period last year. Year to date worldwide is 300,000units behind Toyota!

From what I seen around traps Holden is struggling worldwide and has had bigger loss last quarter then expected. Trouble times ahead for Holden/GM and it does look truly still rosy for Toyota (to be accurate)!

John, have you not driven a VE? Sure the powertrain isn’t quite up to scratch in V6 guise but the SSV is certainly one of the best handling cars I’ve ever driven. Better than my last Merc 5.0 V8, and somewhat similar to recent BMW’s.

Taxi SHELL is right, because the important mechanicals have been upgraded/replaced, as the article states, so why all the doubt about the package?

all that power is useless unless it has the brakes, suspension, steering rack, and gearbox to properly put that power to the ground in track conditions.

I also think the looks of the Sedan just doesn’t suit the amount of power the engine has. Knowing that it’s a commodore with a shoe-horned engine just doesn’t seem right. These are supercar numbers in a taxi shell. It doesn’t even have the mean appearance of the HSV cars available here in OZ, what gives??

At a guess i would say the front end on the ute will be the VF’s SS front end minus the pontiac grill.

And the front on the sedan will become the HSV’s front end i reckon.

The sedan looks really really good, the rims are pretty different.

The one thing I’d pick on is the size of that front grill.
