The Smart Fortwo Brabus 10th Anniversary special edition hot-hatch has been launched to celebrate a decade of collaboration between the Daimler-owned city-car company and the German tuning specialist.

Just 100 of the 10th Anniversary Smart ForTwo Brabus models will be produced, adding to the 50,000-plus Smart vehicles that have been customised by Brabus since 2002.

Powered by a 75kW/147Nm turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, the Brabus 10th Anniversary accelerates from 0-100km/h in 8.9 seconds and has a top speed of 155km/h.

The front grille and front spoiler, door mirrors and side skirts are painted liquid silver, while the exterior is further enhanced by titanium-coloured headlamps, matt grey Monoblock VII alloy wheels and red Brabus logos front and rear.

The cabin sports black leather upholstery with contrasting red hand stitching and white 10th anniversary embossing on the seatbacks.

Red painted trim inserts add further character to the cockpit, which also scores a starter button integrated into the gearshift knob, heated seats, and an enhanced audio and navigation system.

A numbered build plaque reaffirms the exclusivity of the Smart ForTwo Brabus 10th Anniversary limited edition.

The Smart-Brabus collaboration enjoyed its most successful year in 2011, with more than 10,000 vehicles sold around the world.
