2011 Mercedes Benz CLS CGI

October 28, 2008 by Matt Brogan

Perhaps not to be outdone by the news of BMW’s 8 Series this morning, our graphic artist has come out with a first look at Mercedes-Benz’s revised CLS model due here in 2011.

The stunning saloon will be the second of its kind from the iconic brand to be offered with a hybrid powertrain, which will be shared with the forthcoming S400 due for release here mid next year.

The elegant four door coupe will retain much of the current CLS traits sharing existing power plants and underpinnings though with revised sheet metal for a fresher, more flowing appeal than that of the existing model which was first seen here in 2005.

CLS II and S400 Hybrid models will make use of Lithium-Ion batteries to save weight with pre-production testing said to be well underway.
As always, CarAdvice will endeavour to bring you any more news on the new CLS as we hear it.

  2. O says:

LOOKIN good though im not sure about the tailights

  3. Tom says:

I actually prefer the old model, it looked more quirky if you can use that word

    This looks very typical mercedes.

  4. Lee says:

    Stunning

  5. Bret says:

Who left the clay model out in the sun – this is just droopy all over – Audi looks better.

  6. The Salesman says:

Its a Citreon front and a crossfire back, i can see this making it onto the “What were they thinking” wall

  7. Kezza says:

Some aspects of the first CLS have been improved, others though are still looking a little questionable to me. Are these “photos” the real deal though. They look very photoshopped to me and why would any manufacturer relese full photos of a car that’s three years away from being launched?

  8. Marcos says:

Ive always loved the look of the CLS especially in Gloss black with chrome rims, this one looks even better, BUT that is if they keep it looking alone those lines and dont change it drasticly…

  9. acfsambo says:

Kezza, they are not photos, “our graphic artist has come out with a first look at Mercedes-Benz’s revised CLS model due here in 2011″

  10. Used Audi says:

A nice looking car, it looks very similar to one of the Audi range.

  11. Devil666 says:

    Does it need a Bangle-butt?

  12. sslsl says:

I know y’all could read right? it says the graphic artist of this website’s impression not the actual 2011 model blow job hackers

  13. Nice interpretation of the CLS theme. Still has great aggressive lines. One challenge with the CLS though is fitting into it if you’re very tall – that sleek roof line is for people sub-6 ft.
