The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Hong Kong 20th anniversary edition has been released to mark 20 years since the establishment of the first official Hong Kong Lamborghini dealership in 1992.

The super limited run of eight Hong Kong-only anniversary edition HK20s, dedicated to Kingsway Cars Ltd., are distinguishable by a solid white Bianco Monocerus exterior finish, two matt gold stripes down the middle of the car and matt white mirrors.

In contrast the front spoiler, rear diffuser, rear wing and side skirts are all finished in matt black while special HK20 graphics emblazon the side sills, front spoiler, rear bumper, center console and headrests. Completing the look are red steering wheel paddle shifters and matt gold Cordelia wheels – the gold accents reminiscent of the China-only Ferrari 458 Italia 20th anniversary special edition.

The 405kW 5.2-litre V10 engine from the standard Gallardo LP550-2 has been left alone and still powers the rear wheels for a 0-100km/h time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h.

The price? A mere HK$3,680,000 ($464,000), a bargain compared with the recent $540,000 Malaysia-only Lamborghini Gallardo MLE.

I’m not sure about these Italian brands and their sucking up to the Asian markets. I’d always expected brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini to be above these cheap marketing ploys

They (and other car companies) have been doing these limited edition models for years now. I think it’s less of a “sucking up” to Asian markets and more of a “sucking up” to wealthy people.

Agreed, wealthy Asian people. Could you imagine an Italian buying this car…?
Other than the fact that that many Lamborghinis are purchased in Hong Kong, Lamborghini (as a brand) and Hong Kong have very little to do with eachother

“Agreed”? No, I wasn’t talking about wealthy Asian people, but wealthy people in general. Please don’t try put words in my mouth to serve your own agenda.

            OK Landon agreed.

“above cheap marketing ploys” LOL no business is above marketing mate.

This would be one form of marketing. I personally find it cheap and tacky – devalues the brand for me

Because the Chinese and Emirates will pay obscene money for the privilege of owning a limited edition models. A white Gallardo with a black wheels would be better. IMO
