The Subaru WRX Club Spec limited edition has been revealed ahead of its Australian release in August.

Available in either statement-making Tangerine orange or Black paint, the 300 WRX Club Specs – offered only as a sedan with a manual transmission – include black door mirrors, black Subaru Tecnica International (STI) rear spoiler, black 17-inch alloy wheels and black front guard WRX logo.

Inside, leather trim is highlighted by orange-stitched WRX logos on the front seats of Tangerine cars, with black stitching on the seats and steering wheel. Black cars receive the standard car’s red stitching highlights.

A numbered interior Club Spec badge is also matched by an exterior Club Spec badge, though further exclusivity is possible with the addition of an STI package that includes a front spoiler lower lip, short-throw gear shift kit and adjustable strut-tower brace. The STI pack (normally $2100) is available on the Club Spec Limited Edition for the reduced price of $1000.

The purely aesthetic changes see the Subaru WRX Club Spec limited edition priced at $41,490 – $1500 more than the entry-level 195kW/343Nm Subaru WRX.

Guys any info on the new generation  WRX and exactly when is it supposed to be released. I will be due for a new car soon and I need to make a decision on  whether to wait or buy.

    • pixxxels

Supposed to be released mid-next year, they’re taking their time and putting a lot of work into differentiating it further from the normal Impreza.

    • Showtime

Rumours are the next generation is due late 2013.

Same time as the STI BRZ that could be interesting

Nice. This is like an 86 with the following as extras …. a stroked motor to 2.5L, a turbo, drive 2 more wheels at the front, 2 extra doors, can carry more passengers in comfort, baby/family friendly, quicker and doesn’t cost much more.

    • Smart US

absolutely agree… however baby friendly… hmm just got rid off corolla for insanely small space over the rear door when sitting little fella to baby seat… i doubt WRX to be better… but after 6 months old can be nice one ;-)

  • Kampfer

Perfect for Brisbane taxi cab. Doesn’t even need to repaint, already in Brisbane Yellow Cab colour.

U trust those brownies to drive that to get you home in one piece?

      • Yetiman

        Brownies?…You are a Moron.

Theres obviously a fair ammount of “wanker” in your DNA buddy.

It only took me 5sec to think of 3 ways to better spend $1500 on new WRX – power or handling mods or for a high-spec set of tyres once the first wear out. Waste of money IMO.

  • Yetiman

Does it have a better resale value?

    • Andrew

I hope your being sarcastic because how is anybody supposed to know that…….

      • JIM

Yes it will have a better resale value, it’s a limited edition…. CS10 was 4k more than a normal WRX new, now its worth 6k more second hand, always been the same CS9, EVO8 ETC.

        • Yetiman

          Thanks Jim.

ummm Club Spec is always a real special unit… they used to release many version in the 90s and 00s but seem to cut back. So this Club Spec will be better.

  • Neeko

Love the colour, should have done a brake upgrade though :)
