  • Adam

    Seriously, someone bought a Saab?

  • Schn

I honestly think that the new generation Toyota Aurion is actually a failure. Bad design, too Camry like, in fact it’s actually the Camry in Japan. I think the new Avalon would even do a better job than the Aurion.

    • F1

Yeah, in the standard trim it looks nice, prestige aesthetics, but the sports model looks terrible..

The previous sports model looked pretty good..

    • Phil

      Ewwrion is a Crapy……it’s just a V6 version.

Falcoone’s sales figures include a 4 and 6 cylinder model – if you add Ewwrion and Crapry figures together, it’s well above Falcoone (or Crummer for that matter).

      • Legnab

WELL spotted , now we should lump all 4/6 sales together , when’s the crummer 4cyl coming , beeter hurry or they will be left behind , oops i forgot its the malabore .

        • ggg

Har har. The wit of you…

      • Captain Nemo

Plildo  if we are going to add cars together we might as well add Commodore ute to the mix.
        Sedan,Sportwagon & Ute = 3606.

        Camry,Aurion only = 3133
forgot the Ute didn’t ya  Phildo?

        • Phil

Sure if you think a 2 seat ute belongs in the same category as a 5 seat family car.

          • BigJ

Fundamentally they are the same car, come off the same production line, using the same parts at the same time… They even come in the same colours and use the same engines :p

          • Phil

I’ll try and spell this out in even simpler terms so even you can understand.

We have a large passenger car category.
            We have a utility category.

Thc Crummer utility is a utility so it goes in the utility category.
The normal Crummer is a large passenger car so it goes in the large passenger car category along with the Ewwrion.
The Crapry should also be in this category (or they should both be in the medium) as it is just a Ewwrion with a smaller engine – the term “large” that defines these categorys is for the size of the car body not the engine.

        • Legnab

Nemo/barry/fung/twintrumpet , stop grasping at straws , lets remember 10 years ago it was 8000 crapadores a month , its doomsday man .

          • 6 pack charger

Taking away 2011 Legnad,Commodore was top selling car in Australia16 years in a row.By the way whats the story with the orange peel paint jobs on the veeduds pusszats..

          • Phil

yea…back in the day….so was the Ford Model T.

          • horsie

If your mum has a VK, give me her details. ill drop in a 308 and run down your VW Golf.

          • twincharger

horsie im restoring a VK,has the starwars dash working properly.Body great, thinking VL turbo engine. The drives amazing for a 28 year old car

  • Mick Dunn

McLaren outsold Smart!  Not too many European countries we’d see that result, I suspect.

    • Rubes

Can’t wait to see more of those around the roads. I know there is a silver one in Manly. Looks awesome

      • Darryl

You mean Smarts?? The more of them the more laughs I guess

    • F1

This is not a European country..

    • Des KSA

McLaren also out sold Ferrari’s whole model range. Not bad when you only have one model to sell and its not supposed to have the same “zing” as a 458. Well done McLaren.

  • Jabba

Interesting to note that the Hyundai Veloster outsold the Toyota 86. With all the hype surrounding the 86, I would have expected it to be on top.

    • Sydlocal

Remember Jabba that the 86 is still very new (wasn’t on sale for the whole month) and they are struggling with supply. Just look at the waiting list for one. Give it time!

    • Schn

Pretty sure the waiting list was so long that people actually couldn’t be put onto the waiting list anymore

    • Gazz

Toyota 86 took 1050 orders in the first week of the price being let out and there is only 1200 coming in 2012, This car will be the biggest success story this decade!

  • Sydlocal

I still can’t work out how the CX5 is classed as a medium SUV when the tape measure says it is very close in size to “compact” SUVs like the ix35/Sportage (Sportage is actually wider with the rest of the dimensions all within 95mm). Maybe because Mazda said it was a CX7 replacement?

    • Smart US

just from the look X-trail is bigger than CX5… im with you – something funny here- CX5 is tiguan/ix35 league… X-trail is medium

      • Sydlocal

In length the CX5 sits pretty much slap bang in the middle of the X-trail and the ix35 yet the interesting thing is that both the ix35 and CX5 are wider than the Nissan!

  • H1

Saab sold 1 car. Who said it’s dead?

  • Doctor

Doesn’t look like Chery is going to catch on…. will probably soon disappear like Seat.

    • D987

Not having ESP doesn’t help as they can’t be sold in Victoria.

  • moonie

    First place : Toyota
    Second place : air
    Third place : air
    Fourth place : air
    Fifth place air….

    • Rocket

Good battle for 2nd shaping up for the rest of the year. Holden is under threat big time.

  • MisterZed

I think there must be a mistake – I don’t see the i45 in the medium segment top 3?

    • Don Quay

No mistake. I think the styling is a big turnoff and is so dated now. Plus the substandard dynamics don’t appeal to anyone with a passing interest in driving.

  • Antmindel

Nice to see how well the Accord Euro and Jazz are selling for Honda.

Civic should also sell in volume once the new hatch becomes available…

    • Mick Dunn

That $29,990 deal on the base Euro must be doing them wonders!

  • A-potter

i have a feeling mazda cx5 suv will be a top 3 selling car in the country by october a first for a suv!

  • Robjh1

OMG ! .. those Toyota sales are off the scale ! … no other car company gets anywhere near them for total sales, Holden in 2nd place is less than half of Toyota’s total sales.

Would love to own a Toyota Dealership in a booming mining town! .. talk about “Oh what a feeling”.

  • Legnab

I am going to celebrate VW sales by having a all male touch my bottom party

    • Don Quay

Thanks for that. You’ve clarified what we all thought about you.

  • Kennedy

    And Toyotas are losing money!

    • Gazz

      Since when??
