Largely I'm focusing on the expected price of the GSR.
If we get the GSR in Aus for roughly the $35,000 mark then it would be well placed. In saying that, as it is supposed to be more in line with the WRX there is a good chance that it will be more around the $40,000 mark.
Either way, if we get the GSR here then they would have at least one sale.

Very nice looking car, I love everything about it. My biggest fear though is the price! Does anyone know? Or maybe can give a range or estimate of what they think. I really want one but if its close to 40k then I might not be able to get one. I hope the price is close to what the STI costs, it would only make sense because they are in constant competition, and if the evo is 5 or 10k more expensive then the STI, the STI drivers will have an excuse on why they just got smoked in a race.

Good comments there Steve, I really think that this new model is going to get the Evo way more popularity. Why? Even though it has massive street cred (unless your in say SS commodore country such as Whyalla, classic story about Evo vs. SS up there) even I have always thought that the Evo's interior has always had a somewhat cheap feeling. With the new Lancer starting to get some sport and yet luxury type features they should all be options on the new Evo. Now, not only beat a luxury supercar, you can feel like your in some sort of luxury.

What a magnificent looking car, the Mitsubishi Evo has really been a sleeper model in Australia, I don’t know why because this car is the pinnacle of the mass produced small supercars that can compete with the best of them around a twisty circuit. Always loved the Evo and now that I am financial and have always wanted an Evo I can’t wait for the release of this magnificent car. Great work Mitsubishi and I will be first in line and trading my Citroen C4 Exclusive (and what a pity that Citroen doesn’t take a leaf out of the Evo & Sti books)

Sweet, some of the best news I have had on here all week. If only I was 25 and not 15 I could own and drive one of these, as well as have a much better chance of being insured. This year the world of Evolutoin steps into overdrive!
