The cat is back, and its angry. The last 5 years have not been Jaguar’s best with mother company Ford, in some serious trouble, Jaguar’s future has been on the edge a few times. Nonetheless, the icon which is Jaguar will never die.

Jaguar is one of those brands that has a cult following. Those who drive Jaguars, pride themselves in doing so and for those lucky enough to one day find themselves behind the wheel of Jaguar’s new 2008 XJ Saloon, pride is only the beginning.

The new top of the range Jag has again raised the standard for luxury cars. This is S-class of Jaguar, the XJ is the top of the most outstanding luxury vehicle that Jaguar has ever made. Apart from the visual changes, technological advances and additional features on all 2008 model year cars the XJ is built on an all-aluminium body.

The Jaguar XJ will be available in three flavours. Prices for the current model (which are expected to remain relatively the same are listed next to each model):

  1. XJ6 – $149,900 AUD
  2. XJ8 – $174,900 AUD

Jaguar’s stated aim of introducing technology that enhances rather than impairs the driving experience is underlined by the addition of a substantially improved BluetoothTM system that allows passengers to pair up to five approved mobile phones with the in-car telephone, which automatically stores and synchronises phonebooks and ‘last number dialled’ lists every time a phone is connected.
