The all-new Bentley Continental GT Speed is set to be unveiled at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed on June 29.

While the UK-based manufacturer has been cagey on the new model, revealing only that “an exciting new Bentley” will make its international debut at Goodwood, the event’s organisers have spilled the beans, listing the Continental GT Speed alongside the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse and the Infiniti Emerg-e as the highlights of the festival.

Bentley says the new model combines “stunning performance with exquisite luxury”, and has confirmed it will take part in the Supercar Run up the iconic Goodwood Hill before starring on the car maker’s stand beside the EXP 9 F concept and the new Continental GT V8.

The GT Speed will become the flagship sports model in Bentley’s new second-generation Continental line-up, reportedly producing around 460kW of power from its 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine. A six-speed automatic transmission is expected to send drive to all four wheels.

The standard Continental GT (pictured above) produces 423kW and 700Nm, helping it accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 318km/h. The new GT Speed variant will almost certainly see sprint times dip below 4.5 seconds and the car’s top speed climb above the 200mph (322km/h) barrier.

More details on the Bentley Continental GT Speed will be revealed in the lead up to the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
