for a while Davison has probably been one of the most underrated drivers in the field. now he has showed a bit of success in a team that hasnt quite got it together yet, everyones starting to raise eyebrows.
I know plenty of teams are offering Davison big money, and rightly so.
I hope Davison doesnt move on for DJRs sake.
they have a great driver in Davison, and it would be great to see DJR maintain some stability in their driver line up for a few years to come.
i also dont know that Davison would cost them much more than what Courtney would be asking.

I have an opinion, last time I checked this was an open site to express said opinions. If you don’t like what I have to say then that’s fine, I don’t really like what you have to say either.

In reference to my reference to Ashley’s crash, There WAS people at Adelaide who cheered and carried on when he hit the wall, why? Because they got to saw a big crash and how great is that eh? Who cares how the driver might be. That’s what their reaction was. You comments where about how fantastic and wonderful it was that a HSVDT car had a big smash and was out of the race, you where happy about it and where cheering. You then didn’t seem to care at all about how the driver was. Hence why I linked the two together, my linking them was not sickening, what was sickening was your lack of regard to the welfare of the Rat when he had his crash, you only cared that a HSVDT was out of the event. If you can’t handle that and think I should be banned, then again, I think you’re the pot calling the kettle black over having a go at me for over reacting.

He stepped in the com box with crompton at winton after his car was wrecked and i thought he was pretty good, him and cromly worked well of each other, thats probably skaifes future i think.

- The auto action drivers poll only started last year, it has only been run and won twice. The first time lowndes won fairest, the second time he did not (and didn’t rate a mention). You should probably know a little more about these kinds of things before commenting eh?

- I never said i necessarily agreed with the racing room ruling that happened beteen ambrose and murphy, i simply said it was something that ambrose created himself when he punted skaife off at eastern creak earlier that year. The Luff incident was clearly Luff’s fault and it ruined a very good day for Baird and Seton who where having an excellent day up untill then. So where Luff and Owen for that matter, but the (deserved) drive through rewined that didn’t it? He ruined two teams day, but that’s Luff for ya!

- Who do i think is the dirtiest driver? Courtney, and no not because he drives a ford, because he just is! I don’t think he even has the ability to pull off a clean racing move. Great talent, and seems to be a nice bloke, but he can’t drive in a pack! Hence why he has done nothing since joining the V8’s despite being one of, possibily even THE most talented guy out there.

- Tander being taken away from HSVDT? Coudn’t agree more, but give Rick some credit, those two pushed each other so hard and while Tander brough the best out in Rick, don’t forget that Tander had done very little in the grand scheme of things either before he joined the team, and Tander has even said himself that Rick brough the best out in him aswell.

- Rick Kelly and his reaction to the Rats crash, i think your being fairly harsh. Ricks reaction when he saw the crash i think was of “holy crap that looks like it hurt, i hope he is ok”. Racing drivers have a funny way of looking out for each other, and they know a painful crash when they see one. Sure he would have been dissapointed about the car, but i think his feelings for the Rat where clearly genuine and to suggest otherwise, i think, is being extreemly unfair.

- Jack Perkins, firstly Jack was available to race at the start of this season, he was given the all clear by cams before the Adelaide 500 and actually competed in the adelaide 500. Jacks development series campaign was not run by perkins motorsport, it was run by inderpendant race teams and was funded solely by Mack Trucks and acucheck. I think holden also gave some assisntance in the form of free panels and so forth. Perkins motorsport took over the operation however before bathurst due to the piss poor job inderpendant race cars where doing, stupid reliability issues dogged Jack’s season up untill that point.

As for Shane, i don’t think i made my opinion very clear here, i DO think Shane deserved his second season in the main game and i think you will find he would have got that drive regardless of Jacks condition. At that point Shane was clearly the better drive, no question. My point was simply that this season Jack has improved alot (its amazing what adversity can do for a sportsman) whereas i think Shane has just been treading water. At bathurst and phillip island Jack was the second quickest in the team at both events, not good enough really when Shane has been in the car all season and Jack hasn’t. I think that NOW Jack has overtaken Shane, and i think Larry needs to re-evaluate who is the better “young gun” going forward. I think however Larry will feel that if he choses Jack over Shane people will think he is giving his son a free ride, hence my comment that Larry would be a bit hesitant to give Jack a go over Shane.

In saying all of this, Jack isn’t the best driver to not be in the main game, that in my opinion is either Jason Bargwana or Stevie Owen. I can’t really decide between those two which is better, but maybe Steve deserves more of a go considering Jason has already had a decent career and Steve hasn’t.

I also really hope with courtney going to DJR next year that Steven Johnson isn’t left out in the cold, i’m a big steven johnson fan and i really hope if he does leave there he gets a good ride somewhere else.

Holden shot themselves in the foot when they dragged Tander away from the HSVDT.
It was his talent and important input that saw not only himself see success, but his team mate aswell.

Perkins wasnt available at the start of the year. Larry cant just kick Shane out because Jack did marginally better lap times last weekend.
even if he had to chose the fastest based on speed prior to the start of the season, it would be shane.
you cant just kick drivers in and out based on one performance.
i sure hope Jack gets back into the main game.
at least larry is running a car in the development series for him to keep him active in the sport. who knows, he may be keeping him warm for a return next year.
