Audi RS5 spied at ‘Ring
October 11, 2008 by George Skentzos
Spotted alongside the TT-RS has been the upcoming Audi RS5 sedan conducting handling and endurance testing at the Nurburgring.
Finally set to take on the RS designation, the new model is sure to keep BMW on its toes with its M6 model.
At this stage it is unknown what lies beneath the bonnet, however rumours suggest it will adopt the twin-turbocharged V10 engine from the RS6 Avant.
In the RS6 at least, this engine produces an enormous 432kW which is sure to draw attention through the brand’s quattro all-wheel drive system.
While these spy shots show quad exhaust outlets out the back of the RS5, the production model should instead bare the RS’s trademark twin oval pipes.
No word yet on when this new model will be available.

Hey CarAdvice, I know other unscrupulous blogs and news sites steal your photos, but any chance you can come up with a less intrusive way of branding them as yours? That watermark is just downright annoying and over-the-top.
Photos look fine to me, only real way to stop thieves stealing them.
With AWD drive and a twin turbo V10 that thing could be AWESOME!
I remember the S5 being a very attractive car, that thing isn’t. I’d much prefer a m3 for some reason.
Have to agree tom, the flared intakes just arent doing it for me, looks a little awkward.
Looks like its sticking its nose up saying its too good for us, or flaring its nostrels to say im dangerous and angry (with is not associated with Audi’s)
(Spam work Audi)
this will never compete with the m6. never. ever.
This is an Audi S5 press the rear end picture and zoom in.
