Bugatti Veyron Crash

Fans of UK Motoring show Top Gear would be very well aware of the Bugatti Veyron. A car worth over $2,000,000 Australian dollars with 1,001 horsepower which can accelerate from 0 to 100km/hr in 2.6 seconds.
And now, someone in the UK (Surrey) managed to crash one.
Reports suggest that the accident occurred in heavy rain on a 60km/hr section of Renfree Way, Shepperton, Surrey, on Sunday. How can this happen to the worlds ultimate supercar?
A van of course, a Vauxhall Astra van carrying a pregnant woman, who was taken to hospital as a precaution but later went home.
The police have obviously blamed the Bugatti driver for driving without due care and attention. Now I don’t know about you but if I had a 2 million dollar car, I’d be driving it with a bucketload of care and attention!
I would love to see his insurance premium bill for next year!
Reports suggest that the owner of the car is Businessman Kumar Soni who lives in a 3 million pound mansion only a few KM from the site of the crash scene.
Eye witness accounts suggest that the car was speeding prior to the accident. The rain was lashing down when the accident happened and the car spun three times before clipping the Astra. One motorist who stopped told the police he thought the car had passed him at around 100 mph and it made him flinch as the car threw up spray from the road as it roared past him.
“After the accident there was more trouble for the driver when a man arrived in a dark VW 4 x 4 with personalised number plate. He was shouting and screaming and saying to him that he could not believe he had crashed the car.” Daily Mail UK
It is thought the angry motorist was Ajay Soni’s 41-year-old brother who is known to drive a 4X4 VW.

What an idiot. I have a Vauxhall Astra and even in that I always drive with due care and attention at all times, even if I could afford a super car I wouldnt quite happy with my smaller less powerful cars good quality used Vauxhall parts are rather cheap if I do crash.
I agree that this is an amazing car and is clearly a waste in Kumar hands, but this car still rolls on rubber and still has to adhere to the same basic forces of nature. He is an idiot.
foggy, thats is a traditional bugatti colour scheme and looks better than most of the ones I have seen in the magazines around the place

but I think it looks a lot better in just black or silver. The colour scheme makes the car look.. cheap! IMO
need 2 drive more carefull
driving the veyron at speed, in the rain, with the spoiler down – a mistake you can only afford to make once.

lol 2 million dollars for like 120,000 au dollars you can do up a skyline to pobaly go over 350km and do like like 2.2 secs to 100km but then again there are the very very very very very rare bragging right of being able to pull up somewhere and say c that veyron its my car! lol what a loser.

Yes but the Veyron would still stop WAY quicker and be ALOT more stable at high speed. Not all about 0-100km/h speeds here.

I think its appauling that no-one ever mentions the poor woman in the Vauxhaul Astra that he crashed into! She was 8 months pregnant at the time and more by luck than good judgement was not hurt and neither was her baby. This guy was apparently doing 100mph in a 60 zone in the wet! What kind of moron does that?! Whats worse is that it went to court and he only got 9 points on his license and a £400 fine! I say he should have been done for dangerous driving or driving without due care and attention and given a proper sentance!

The most amusing thing about this story is that it wasn’t his car. The car was actually owned by the abusive brother who pulled up later in the VW. What do you say after writing off your brother’s $2million car? Oouch!

I actually drive a Veyron and you would be very surprised at how different they are to driving a normal car. I can see how he would have felt overconfident as 100mph in this feels like say 60kmh in a corolla. Though this is the case, i dont know why you could drive it like that in the rain anyway, mines never seen rain mainly because i have traction troubles in the dry, dont want to try it in the wet!

you all shouldnt be so quick to judge. im sure atleast one of you have surpassed the speed limit while it has been raining atleast once. it looks and appears that it was a very costly mistake and im sure that guy has enough stuff to worry about now if he did it again that would be a completely different senario
