Who cares if its too heavy TonyB, granted only marginal anyway, the Volvo is very well planted and very safe thats where they win sales……

Granted, the XC60 is a good looking car. But unfortunately Volvo have made the same mistake with this that they made with the recently released XC70 – its too big and too heavy. Because it weighs the same as the XC70 (1.9 tonnes), with its SUV shape, both fuel economy and 0-100k performance are worse than the XC70 for the D5 and the V70 for the T6 engines. Audi’s Q5 – albiet a little bit smaller – is far better than the XC60 in both economy and performance irrespective of which engine comparison you make. I’ll be waiting for the Q5.

seen the brochure and the volvo website – interior is nice too. The new XC70 is great to drive but let down by the straight six a little – if this is as good and a little quicker, it should be a real winner. And yeah, I’d like a manual – the volvo geartronic is useless, although mainly because the adaptive box runs it better than the driver can, once it gets used to your driving style.

Beautiful SUV.

would love to have one with a manual transmission though (either engine will do, lol. )
