The Aston Martin DBS Ultimate limited edition has been revealed on the brand’s public website ahead of its launch later this year.

Hinted at in our report late last week, the British sports car manufacturer has confirmed it will make just 100 DBS Ultimates – the latest special edition to based on Aston’s flagship performance model.

The DBS Ultimate carries over the 380kW/570Nm 6.0-litre V12 from the standard DBS, giving it a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. It is available in either coupe or Volante (convertible) body styles with the choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed ‘Touchtronic II’ automatic transmission.

The exterior benefits from carbonfibre wing mirrors, rear diffuser and taillight inserts; black numberplate surround; smoked taillights; Zircotec-coated exhaust pipes; dark front grille; black diamond-turned alloy wheels; and the option of red, yellow or black brake calipers. DBS Ultimate special edition models can be finished in one of three colours: Carbon Black II, Quantum Silver and Silver Fox.

The interior sports diamond-quilt stitching in either red or silver contrast thread across the leather seats and inserts and the alcantara headliner, and headrest embroidery with a unique red ‘S’. Spicy Red leather-trimmed steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters bring the DBS Ultimate enhancements to the driver’s fingertips.

Aston Martin Asia Pacific spokesman Marcel Fabris told CarAdvice the limited edition DBS Ultimate will be sold on customer order only on a first come, first served basis.

If Australian customers get in quick enough, they will be asked to part with $466,100 for the DBS Ultimate coupe Touchtronic II or $497,000 for the DBS Ultimate Volante Touchtronic II (recommended retail prices excluding dealer delivery and on-road costs).

Fabris said orders are being taken through Aston Martin dealers now ahead of deliveries early in the final quarter of 2012.

Hope it drives even better than it looks :) just hard to imagine with such an outdated platform compared to its competitors.

I, like most of us, LOVE Aston Martin, but all the special editions they put out really cheapen the brand and make it less cool I think. Not to mention it comes across as a bit desperate after a while. They need a completely new car.

What this car is as a special edition would be considered a next generation model by BMW,Mercedes,Audi, Porsche and VW.
It may be an outdated platform but it makes the German Marques look positively outdated.

You have got to admit, it looks simply stunning!

I love Aston Martin they have a great image and branding, but its hard to justify “The Ultimate Specification” when there is no increase in power.
In such a competitive market there is no Value Adding additions to the car.
Apart from the One-77, There products in general need a 20% power increase across the board to bring them in line with there competitors.
