well of all the companies, Hyundai’s apparently doing a hybrid diesel!!! imagine that, a Sonata or Santa Fe doing 3 liters a hundred. Wad energy crisis ay??

That’s more like.. I think the new A4 petrol version is already something that will keep most premium car manufacturers worried for a while… AUDI have just lifted their game further and positioned them into a very strong position.

Ah Ha. the diesel does it again. Pretty good considering a meduim sized car can get that sort of returns. Perhaps not a competitor direct against a Prius as its too expensive. How do all the diesel critics feel now.

Well thats all well and good but the Audi A1 Sportback yesterday still used 3.9 litres per 100kms and needed a hybrid system. Surely an Audi A1 with this technology could get down to about 1-2 litres per 100kms? Would have been a better concept I think…

plug n play is the best way forward coz we’re centralising energy creation which is very efficient. But batteries are crap and if they’re anything like laptops (which they are) can burst into flames faster than u can say liquified Petroleum Gas. I think GM has the right approach as its future cars are “flex-fuels” which can take in diesel, petrol, hydrogen, biofuel, lpg and electricity.

Hydrogen by the way is essentially the same thing as plug and play coz we’re centralising energy creation to the most efficient producer (massive power plants) we have.

Hang on, it’s lean, green and looks like an Audi (read very good)and it’s not a Hybrid. How can they do this?? I thought everything that was going the way of a eco friendly had to be Hybrid or plug-n-play?
