hi eddy, offence sustained.
Zeta, sigma, gamma, delta whatever platform, just not sure why GM, Holdens boss would go about designing a sport wagon albeit on the CTS when the VE’s zeta platform in a sportwagon guise may well have filled the need.
Goes some way to explaining why GM is in such a mess.

This blog is full of the dumbest people on the face of the planet.

The CTS IS NOT based on the Commodore platform (Zeta) it is Sigma based.

Mike Simcoe is no longer the Daewoo head designer, but infact now works in America and infact designed the CTS.

This car looks like it could actually be a Toyota Aurion wagon if they were to build such a monstrosity, similar lines and profile. Maybe Cadillac will come to Oz and win the next Government vehicle tender and we'll see police pack CTS's on our arses. Hmmm, now there's a thought....

Yep, my thoughts Capri too…….
…..so how is this different to Holden’s Sportwagon except being ugly, missing the ‘woodie’ panels and being driven straight off the set of the new ‘vacation’ sequel.

So GM steals one of Australia's best designers (Mike Simcoe) and where do they stick him? Daewoo! Promote that man to Head of Caddy design right now! The man that thought up the SSX, the greatest thing to ever come out of Holden's womb, is a pure designing genius! I'd love to see his take on that nasty piece of work.

It could be worse, Daewoo could pick up the chassis and make it into a Hybrid that runs on Alkaline battery packs.

With design like this no wonder American car industry is suffering big time....just wait for the news that Cadillac new CTS Sportwagon production is seized due to poor car sales numbers.

Nah Salesman - here in Euroland folk are beginning to bin the crossovers& 4wd's and return to Wagons. They handle better use less fuel.
This mothers a ugly bint that'll sure go well. GM are pushing the Cadillac name hard all round the globe. Guess to compete with Lexus.

what a shocker!!!!!!!
for one i cant stand those rodeo headlights on all the caddys.

why would you buy this over the HSV Wagon???
if you want a hairdryer on it, then add one to the HSV wagon.

on that note, i still cant figure out why HSV hasnt offered the supercharger kit here like it offers on the models it exports. (or should i say GM offers because i know HSV doesnt fit them here)

Why introduce more wagons? Most car manufactures have pulled out in favor of the cross over. Toyota, no Camry wagons or corolla wagons, Ford, Bf3 is the same as BF2, no changes. Why not make it an AWD and beef it up?

Didn't Bob Lutz of GM say that Holden will not be exporting a G8 wagon as there is no market for one in the US. Yet we (in Australia) are going to get, what looks like to me an ugly and smaller (body) version of the commodore sports wagon.

I heard that HSV may be getting a supercharge for the GTS, both sedan and wagons.
